No worries bud! We'll do a soil sample a long with many other tests once we get in the house. Radon and well water are in there as well as septic inspection. Probably see if we qualify for an energy audit as well. Might as well through the whole book at it! :D

I dropped off the check to the realtors this morning. We got a call yesterday saying all parties have signed the contract. Now we just need to wait for probate to approve it and we should get a closing date scheduled. Fingers crossed no hick ups on the 3 pass through probate.

Almost can celebrate, But not quite yet! :hair:

No luck so far on garden tractors. Selling as fast as house's it seems. Even dealers are selling used stuff faster than I can get to go see them. Might as well just keep the craftsman and see if I can get a locking diff moded into it and buy a Berco aftermarket roto tiller for it. Unless I want to spend the big coin and buy the brandy new tractor, Its hard getting an oem roto tiller attachment for the used older tractors! I aint got the jingle for new! :(

That's -great- news JT! Keeping a good thought for a fast and worry-free closing for you both here.

Another option you may want to consider: raised Garden Beds the first season. (4) 6x12 or 8x16 beds, using 1"x12x(length) locally sourced/milled pine board, and a load of loam, fertilizer/manure will most likely be less $$$ than hiring-out for just ground prep alone, and would give you both a good idea or gauge for "how big" a food grow operation ... you both want to take on, going forward. ( Something to consider and/or discuss w/ the Extension Service folks. )

I got out bid by like a lot! We bid $160K and it sold for $182K That was really a bit too much house for the 3 of us. This Canton house is the prefect size as probably not long it will just be Cindy and I. He'll be 22 in September. But we will always have the door open and getting this place keeps us in Connecticut so Cindy will be near when and if he has little ones. I know darn well if I dragged he south she'd always be worried and such. We will just act like hermits when its cold out! :)

Most of that house suites us besides the bathroom and the kitchen. Bath gets a make over before we even move in. Kitchen gets revamped as we go. Probably mess with the layout and give Cindy a master bath with a big bubbly tub. I need to move the washer and drier to the front porch first.

Oh I see, couple things off the top of my head why I like Canton better, 1, siding, the oiled siding on the other sounds like more maintenance, and 2, SUNLIGHT, Canton seems brighter and airier. Excited for you & Cindy & Joey!!
