There is a tube in it. I'll get it out and grab one this morning. Tire is in great shape otherwise.

After this I have one more bathroom. Every room upstairs will have been taken down to the studs and redone. I need to do some work in the basement eventually too.

First hummingbird of the season showed up today. A male Ruby dive-bombed me to let me know to get a feeder out.

edit- Feeder is out. Went 3/1 on this batch, they'll need the extra "oomph" for the next month around here.

you will love the porch. I insulated mine, double pane windows and doors. I opened the door to the porch and have left it open all year. Even when the weather is below zero. About the coolest it gets there is 68-70 F With the pellet stove running, our house is always too warm to any loss to the porch is not noticeable. Great place for plants.

Here’s some of what I’m getting into. This is the worst of it, but there are a couple more 30”+ red oak logs in another part of his yard left to process. I’m hoping to get it all done before the heat sets in. 260B7E6F-45AA-44CD-AF9A-C1675FB3A6E7.jpeg

Just remember that there are Alzheimer's support groups that really can help esp. with the frustration of the caregiver.

Got the wall/closet in the bedroom re-framed. I stole 10" from the bedroom to add to the bath, and shrunk down the closet to about half its size to get even more space in the bathroom.

    Cost of lumber is f%^^& bonkers. I spent $300 on 30 2x4x8, 2 2x4x12, 1 2x6x10.

Might try to rough in some electrical tonight, hopefully have drywall hung by the end of the weekend. Spring sports for the kids gets crazy busy in a couple weeks so I need to make some hay this week.

How many bathrooms will your home have when you finish the renovating?

3...same as it does now. All 4 bedrooms had an entire wall of closets...so we stole half of that space from each closet to add the bathroom in between them. Closet space was just wasted so made sense to give it back to the bathroom.

What is that log in front of the stack with green tarp. That looks huge.
