    Basswood. Not the best firewood but the price was right! Supposed to be good wood for getting things started though.

    funny as i looked carefully at the pics and guessed basswood. I like the stuff. Dries fast and great for what you said.

    I split all of it really quick. I think my neighbor thought I was showing off so he came back to get "revenge". Some of these pieces I'll have to wait for some extra help. PXL_20210424_191721204.jpg

    Splits pretty well but some crotch pieces get a little stringy. Nothing like Elm or anything like that though.
