Well not technically the official chip drop. This is a "family chip drop" from my BIL. He had a guy help clear his property and he split it 3 ways. Kind enough for me to get a 1/3. Mix of hardwoods. Some DSBL in there too.
A hoarder could get use to this easy scrounging. 20210423_143123.jpg 20210423_143103.jpg 20210423_143142.jpg

That log sticking out on top is begging to be cut up. Nice score!

Nice load of wood there sir. Were the bucked rounds part of the load?

No, not from this load. The bucked rounds are from the same property, but I got them a few weeks ago. Have a few more trees like that waiting for me.

I know its not locust. Walking up to it the bark reminded me of a young sasafrass tree, than I saw the end. Im not sure what it is to be honest. Never had any hedge that I know of, so have no idea if that's what it is.

Hedge or Mulberry you can't go wrong. There's nothing like a log load dumped in your yard!

There is hedge around but not a lot. There is a long row of it along the local golf course and the main road. I think it was planted to keep golf balls from flying out on the road.o_O
Pretty sure you have some mulberry. Sassafras isn't that yellow. Great score on the locust..
