Holy mulberry!

I have never seen a mulberry even close to this big before. I couldn’t get to the butt end because it was dumped right up against other logs

 

I've seen some bigguns, that looks to be their equal though...but can't read your tape measure???

 

Man I can almost imagine how much purple bird chit comes out of a Mulberry that size. Bigger than any I've cut here.

 

Have you counted the rings on it?

Not yet. It just got dropped off yesterday and the butt end is currently blocked off by other logs

That is big. Gonna kick out lots of yellow man glitter thats for sure. Mulberry is a rare tree based on observations in my travels. I know of one huge one in a yard. Good size but couldnt venture a guess of DBH. Did you get the rest of the wood from the tree of just the trunk Joe?

 

I got every part they didn't chip, so down to about 6-8" in diameter.

 

Good stuff. I know it ranks pretty high on the BTU charts but I gotta say I didn't totally love the stuff I burned this season. Seemed like it took a bit to get going and didn't last as long overnight as I woulda thought. I know I know I'm just being picky here. But I will say it's pretty dang good to use on the smoker as well. I still say "get as much as you can" !!!
