Finally found a different model adapter that would work on the tractor with minor modifications. Kubota said it would be JUNE before we could get the one ordered in January, that was supposed to be 4 wks out... Dealer had a used one and got a great deal on it. Grapple works great. Tried it out on an odd shape oak round with big limb Then big pecan log Some big oak chunks Moved a big bark/junky pile so it can be burned.
Yes sir, all the wood we gave away came from these loads. We did get a couple loads good enough to sell. Glad there was some solid on these loads too.
Well, we have done several jobs down here, a little on the wood yard, some with the tractor. Finished cutting and stacking a pile of hickory and oak limbs we had We sold a cord load of split hickory to a BBQ place, he also wants cherry, pecan and oak in the future. We took the tractor, bucket and tiller over to our son's house. Spread a big load of topsoil And then helped him install flower beds around his house, put in drain pipe My company changed out the metal roof on 1 of the warehouses. I was given 1 bundle, it is 3'×21' and 26 ga. I used the new forks on the tractor Finally got a chance to load the dump trailer with tractor grapple. Worked nice. My neighbor had a corner on his lot he wanted cleaned up. Grapple did a fine job. It wasn't all vines, briars, privet hedge and sweet gums. It was an old home site, so I found the huge cornerstones in there. This 1 was so big, couldn't lift it. But the 'Bota could drag it. Found 4 small oaks and 1 elm that we saved for wood. Had to drag this sweet gum stump too. It was from this tree Got a little more to do on the lot Then we did a tree removal job for a friend. We took down a 2 stem magnolia, hemlock, red cedar and a big holly. Even got Miz Carol on the tractor moving brush. Got a nice load of logs. Still have 1 big holly to take down soon.
Looks like you’ve been busy Jeff. Very satisfying helping and being around others during this time! Looks like you had some lines running past some of those trees. Nice work Glad the grapple is working out nicely for you.
Yes sir, the service to the house was there. That's why those magnolia limbs were on the ground. Used the pole saw to trim them out of the lines before dropping them, also used the tractor to push/guide them across the driveway. One was leaning towards the road too.
I've been working 6 days of 7AM-7PM, so we have been doing some nite time work. A local prep school/college is doing a big Boston Butt sale May 5th and we are supplying the wood this year. They wanted pecan and oak. Had a big pecan trunk And smaller pecan limbs Got 1 row of pecan done, back row Then we had some big oak chunks that had to be noodled. Split some straight grained with the splitter too, almost a row of oak done. Should finish up early next week.
I'm pretty sure it's a fund raiser, I think they have even done chicken plates before. They are just selling whole butts. We are swapping wood for meat...
I hope it is as good as the one you cooked for us that day. Hope yall are doing well. Bet little man is really growing.
