Today was a day for me to get the saw running again. It has been almost 2 years since I've used the saw due to my neck problems and some serious surgery. It felt good to do something again and the saw started on the 4th pull. Naturally I had to start it several times while going the distance through the woods. It always started on the first pull then.

Sorry that I forgot to take many pictures. Just forgot...

The first 2 pictures are of my log skidder being loaded with saw, pruner, pickeroon and the crate with gas, oil, tools, etc. The next 2 are the only pictures I remembered to take of trails but they were pretty messy before I attacked them.

Ill bet it felt good to get out and do that after two years. I know i would be standing in the middle of the woods taking it all in.

Nice to see you back at it Dennis. Work safe my friend!

On average, how big does your Elm get before the disease gets them?

Maybe 12". Occasionally they will get bigger but most have a very short life.

I'm thinking I may close this joint & come Thursday, if so I can dump those Elm then. We may need a little more "skidder" though.:D

Probably just saws, unless we really need other stuff.
