This came yesterday... which only means its a matter of finding an hour to let the new girl eat. Thanks again @HittinSteel for my first ported toy, I mean tool. And if you've been sleeping, once she eats and I deem her a keeper, the 441 is going live. Teaser...
So forgive me..lol..i cant tell by the pic..wat is that?..and did you buy a ported 441c from hittn steel?sorry..lol...confused.....
Nope. I grabbed a Mastermind'd 372xp from HittinSteel. But I only have bigger Stihl bars, so that is a bar adapter from Homelite410 on AS. And pending some work with the new to me 372xp, that 441C-M will hopefully find a new home in a FHCer's stable.
You dont like the 441c?..lol unless u wanted a husky...u could have had yur 441 done fer $300...well to each his own...that 372 should scream for you...make sure you put up some pics..
If he would have had his $600 441 ported for $300 then he would have had $900 in the saw. He bought my ported 372 for $580 and now can sell the 441 and have a net gain of $20, plus avoid the $300 porting cost for a net savings of approximately $320. Clear as mud?
Ported 441s are ridiculous. Ridiculously strong that is. Even stock, I predict that saw doesn't last an hour in the classifieds.
Ok I was too quick on the reply I see it down lower what it is. And now I get the whole post after reading your others.
I got two of them from Weedeaterman. They work nicely from what I've seen... Enjoy that power beast...you'll need to get a video of it in some wood....
Add about a 1/2" to the bar slot and open the adjuster holes up to take the husky adjuster pin and you'll be goof to go. I've not got to run a ported 441cm. I do like a ported 372. I've got one in line to do for myself.
Oh yes, got here last Thursday and it was packed nicer than it would have left the factory. I started her up just because but have been waiting on that adapter to cut anything. Those Ohio boys have all the ported fun at their disposal. I had to jump at the bit to potentially break even while reeling in a Mastermind'd saw, so no ported 441's in my near future. Thanks for the bar mods, I am going to bring it in to work since I don't even own a drill press (how sad is that?!)
