Here is my weekend project. Really not much cost in this thing for me. The drop box was $32 on Amazon and a can of spray paint. I got the wood from the dump and the ibc tote from a local ag co-op for free. Haven't gotten the letters painted on yet, but this will work for the post. :D

Anyone have any improvement tips or pointers with selling roadside? I'm expecting some loss to thieves.

For what the Ibc totes go for around here, you might find A pile of bundle wood on the ground and the tote stolen:rofl:  On a more serious note, I like your setup:yes:

Here’s my boys set up. I’ve had some stolen in the past but since I put these stickers on they haven’t takin any. Guessing it might make them think? 8A6C479F-8D17-48C0-B6F9-83F89340AFC1.jpeg BC8B0E1D-A1D5-42AD-9A64-E21274844E04.jpeg

I think I would attach the box to the upright, not just that tin plate. That can be pulled off pretty easily. I like the set up though.

I like the set up, may just be me, but I think the lockbox would go better on the front.

I did place two 2x4s behind where the screws go in so the screws go through the box, the plate and into the 2x4s. I may paint something that says "pay here" next to the drop box. I could probably move it to the front too.

Calling jrider. Nice looking set up WC! I like it. Phony video camera and stickers are a good anti theft measure.

You don't even need a phony cam. You can get a wyze cam for like $20.

There is no magical formula for avoiding theft. Some will happen. We made it a point to let people know the wood was my kids. We had some theft at first but it’s been a long time since we’ve had any issues. As for the camera crowd, it’s so easy for anyone to fake putting money in the box and without clear images, cops won’t do a thing
