Ash load of noodles

Pic doesnt do this monster justice, i had to buZZsaw BRAD the hell out of this 1/4 ‘d all of them. Broke my tensioner pin and bent the screw going through a nasty burl. Beautiful wood!!

 

More noodles! Now I'm really hungry for pasta!

Just curious if there is a reason you completely noodle? I just got a load of big ash and I just cut a kerf 3-4 inches deep across them and then pop them with wedges. I don't have a big saw and the couple times I maxed the bar it felt like by the time I cut through it was quicker and less work to wedge them, but that may be because of the saw size.

 

I do the same thing when i have the maul with me, both trips i left it on my atv. I popped em with felling wedge and a hatchet. The saw is a 576 so it rips

 

Last time I was told I made more noodles than Italy! That was funny.

I recognize the yellow house and the fence. If I drove by and saw a dodge I would have stopped to say hi.

 

I stopped to ask for it but ended up cutting it up for her husband, he cant use a saw anymore.
