What's up today (bullchiting) thread.

I did stay busy; scrubbed the birds' cages (that gets done every 4-6 weeks, I change papers 2-3 times per week in between) then did the regular Saturday chores, and took the snow tires out of the truck and stuffed them into the shed.

Went to HD and got some light duty 2x3 landscape timbers. The young girl tried to charge me $17.57 each. Um, nope, the sign says $5.57. She goes out and looks at the sign and says, nope 17.57. I take her out and show her the sign that says $5.57. The sign she was looking at was for 6x6 square, rough sawn timber . Will do something with them today (unless I see something shiny).

thanks! I am sure I will be fine. Today is 11 days since we were together. My FIL has MS, so out of an abundance of caution, we will be not going to their house, well we will go and say hi, but we will be outside, and not close contact.

I'm spending Easter Sunday in the traditional way, trying to diagnose my broken washing machine. Of course it crapped out with a full load of soaked clothes in it, so I had to hand wring them out and put them in the dryer for god knows how long that will take. Then bailed all the water out of it while I wait for the clothes to dry so I can get the dryer out. The previous owner built the laundry closet WAY too tight. I first have to remove one of the bifold doors, then try and wiggle the dryer out. Not sure if it will slide past the jam, or if that will have to come out too? Its close. Then I can move the washer over so I can take the cover off and see what failed. I suspect it might have been the coupler. Trying to get too much laundry in to conserve loads and not overwork my septic system bit me in the azz.

Off to Easter service soon. Been very lucky here in that we have been able to have church all but a couple months of this pandemonium ....pandemic thing.

Will get back to work on the house and yard after church.


Hope to "see" my granddaughter by Skype this afternoon and to watch her open her Easter presents.

Happy Easter Firewood Hoarders!

 

I got lucky and found that the issue was a clogged pump binding the motor. Last week the dog bed went in the wash, per the instructions on the tag, and it exploded. Apparently some of the hair like stuffing made it down and into the pump. Totally seized it up. I was able to get it all out with a pick, and then cleaned the nastiness that I found when I pulled the drum out to see how bad it looked in there. Back up and running for a little time only.
