I know, soon enough there won't be any to process, then burn. One my buddy was saving on his land where I've been cutting box elders from. It was in my way and not big enough for anything but firewood. Well, I cut it and it's been in the stacks for a few weeks.
Priorities , I understand where you are coming from. I hate to leave it on the trailer for too long especially when the springs have a reverse arch in them. I don't mind a day or so but try not to make it a habit of going much longer than that.
Be carful loading that pretty truck!! Horkn is that a solid fold up bed cover? How do you like it compared to a role up cover?
It's an extang brand trifold tonneau cover. It works great. A roll up will give easier full access to the bed, but takes more time and they don't seem to work as well for the majority of the needs. My buddy has a roll up on his f150. It definitely is not as quick to access as mine. If you need to access the back 2/3rds of the bed more, then the trifold is the better option.
Very nice there Horkn. I wish I could find me some more ash. It has to be one of my favorite fire woods for this area. Good and solid looking logs and a pretty good load. Congrats.
I did a bit more splitting tonight. One more session and I'll have it all split. Then I'll need to haul it and stack it in the shed. I also started the tractor up for the first time since Fall. I checked the oil level, put some gas in it, and aired up both the back tires. So it's all set for work this weekend.
That's just a flag pole. The flag fell off years ago. Now it's mostly used to help me back up the trailer. That's the only thing I can see towing 4x8 trailers behind my truck. When I hauled this load of ash home, I could see the trailer because the pile was high enough.
PITA backing up the 4 wheeler when cant see anything,so always have something bolted high enough out back.
