At the peak of summer it’s light until 9-9:30 and getting light by 3:30. I can’t sleep when the sun is up. Never have been able to. Winter is so much better for sleeping.

I can drive an 1 1/2 hours and be on Canadian time. As the crow flies not much more than 100 miles.

So....today we were bringing a couple pallets to the sales floor, and there's an old lady standing on the section of the doorstep we load them onto. I would have had to ask her to move, but then she asks me to help her lift her shopping cart down over the 2 steps at the edge of the doorstep. I do so, no big deal, but I did let her know that there's a ramp over on the other side....she looks over, she didn't see it at all first IIRC, but after so many seconds, she's like "but you still got to go down 2 steps to get to the ramp". I try to explain to her that no, the ramp goes all the way up, she says "I don't see it." Then proceeds to the vehicle. A couple minutes later, she returns with the empty cart...and wrestles it up the couple steps, with the assistance of another old lady. I guess the top of the ramp was visually blocked from that position by the stack of empty pallets, but there's plenty of room behind them to access it.

Walk about 20 feet to the west, and you'll see the ramp, it's much easier. I'm not lying to you :picard:

Rough day yesterday. Had a heavy piece of oak fell. It was behind me and hit the back of my leg above my ankle, just above the shoe top. Man that sucker hurt and it swelled like crazy. It was bad enough I headed to the house to ice it down, which I hate to do but it did reduce the swelling. In addition my neck has been bad with pain lately and as I am sitting her I have heat on it. That helps. Such is life.

Wow, you have green grass! Last of our snow is leaving. I suspect the rain of tomorrow night will finish it off. Still could get a whopper of a snow storm, but it doesn't look like it. We have had winters that didn't leave until late April. This won't be one of them. With the snow and ice gone, Any storms we get now will melt away in a few days. The sun is much higher now and it is doing a number on drying things out. We have been having horrid wind which also dries things out. Won't take much for us to be in a drought. Any bit of glass in the dry grass can start a fire. I hope the grass greens up soon so we can avoid that.

Consider yourself lucky it wasn't worse. I always tell myself that as a consolation. I know it is true.

Your grass is much greener than ours. Ours just started to green up.

Only a couple of weeks and I'll have to mow. Which is why getting those ash trees down and CSS'd is a big deal, as they are in my yard, and will fall in the mowed areas.

HOORAY!! My favorite spaghetti sauce is back! I grew up with it, actually it's a spin off from from Colacci's or vice verse, the owner had a disagreement and one left and opened his own in the early 1900's. Both are delicious but actually eating inside Colacci's is full of wonderful childhood memories. Colacci's is gone but Blue Parrot now also jars it's sauce :drool::drool:

I just texted WWW and he's excited too!! :thumbs: Besides eating inside the restaurant, Colacci's used to sell by the pound from the back entrance, bring your own container. Some special occasions (Birthday slumber parties) my Dad would drive me out there with our big cottage cheese containers (used/empty) and get them filled up.

Do you remember the salsa commercial "made in New York City!, Get a rope!" Sub "Get a rope" with "Get a case" from WWW.

Does anyone know what this kind of noodle is called? They are thick and shape is irregular. I've had them at other restaurants in Colo too, we had our wedding a bar/grill, had spaghetti for the meal, the lady bought the same noodles, not home made.
