We had a nice outdoor fire on the patio last Saturday. It was 39° but nice and warm by the fire. I'll get a picture of the next fire, but it won't be tonight with the rain they think will happen.
No outdoor yet. Ill use the firepit to start the charcoal for the grill and we havent grilled yet. Sometime next month probably.
No pics but I burned all the branches and sticks yesterday that fell during the recent wind and all winter. Took a couple of hours.
I was at my BIL's yesterday for his birthday. One of his kids was tending the fire, splitting as needed. EWP It kept the chill off, as the sun went down.
That's how my fire started a couple weeks ago. Then I used the pole saw and made more branches to burn from the ash trees that are being felled this coming Friday afternoon. Figured might as well drop the branches that's I can reach to save time later when they all come down. They all burned pretty nicely,
Not in a firepit, but we had a big pile of bark and cull wood (punky, termites), then we pruned all our crepe myrtles, added that to the pile. Burned for over 2 days...lol...yep..the blower was involved
Decided to clean the pit out and have a fire after supper tonight. No wind and mid 50's. Enjoyed it for an hour. Burned some nuggets, lumber scraps and oak flooring pieces (raw wood unfinished) scrounged from the landlord's dumpster. He is a floor sanding contractor. I had started it the other day briefly but was too windy.
Last night's fire outside. Ash uglies and cutoffs from stuff just cut on Friday and last week. Only 1 stick had any sizzle to it.
Now if that was anyone else.....I can hear it already! I seem to have a poor draft on my outdoor fire pit. I think it is the design of the fire ring. I am waiting for the manufacturer to send me an e-mail to my inquiry........
This one was a month or so ago, but she was a biggun. Lots of branches, rotten utility poles, shorts, uglies, elm bark and numerous rotten pieces from piles that were stacked on the ground under trees when we moved in 6 years ago.
