Going to my BIL's later today for his birthday. Open garage doors, with a firepit close by. Looking forward to it, without being stupid.

Good morning. My wife and I are heading north this morning for some off grid cabin time through the middle of the week. Snow of 2-4" expected this afternoon and there is still about a foot on the ground in the woods. Nothing in particular planned, other than a break from our jobs to relax and enjoy some outdoors time on our property. Walleye fishing on MN/Ontario border waters is open through April 14th. There is still plenty of ice to snowmobile in, and the pre-spawn ice fishing is often phenomenal. The steelhead along Lake Superior are starting to run as well. But we don't plan on any fishing this trip. We will be cutting, splitting and stacking some firewood, however. The target species are black ash, paper birch and poplar.

 

Good morning everyone! It's a sunny, cool morning. Think I'll split some oak! The grass is greening up fast. We've got a date with a pool company to install a new sand filter on April 23.
They want the pool full and ready to run. That's more than a month before I usually open it. I guess I'll hope for an early summer.

Might cut a little wood with the demo saw we got...it started raining before we could try it yesterday...
New player in town
Taking tractor over to our son's house, he has several things he needs done, spreading a load of topsoil, clean up his woods with the grapple. Another trip will be plowing his garden and fixing flower beds around his house.
We also have a Celebration of Life event for our friend Steve, from 2-4 today.

Morning All. Not raining this morning so we are headed out for a walk. Yesterday didn't get rain but the wind was cold to work outside.

Guess it evening folks today. Been a busy day today. I was still in bed and Chaz was up. (Unusual) our dozer guy Jerry was here. Just laying in bed waiting for Chaz work alarm set for 7 to go off. Our 4 legged door bell went off. It didn't dawn on it was 9:30 till a bit later.
That is so not me.
About the time he is getting ready my brother shows. Then Jerry's leaves.
Then Pat leaves, get a text that Jerry's kids are coming up to shoot guns. I think they left about 4. We have know them since forever. Good kids

Morning all. Coffee is ok even though I had to get it at 7 Eleven. RaceTrac is closed AGAIN! I have sent pics of the closed sign, emailed multiple times and today posted a TikTok video. I’m on a mission. District manager is a putz.

Finally a much needed day off.
Looks like rain in the forecast here today so looks like an easy day. Won't be cutting as I was hoping but should be a good day to sharpen a saw or two and a quick service on the splitter.

Good morning everyone! I did a little of everything yesterday, splitting, raking, fishing leaves out of the pool, shopping... today will be more restful, just hanging out with my grandson. Here's the cat posing.
