Wind partly blew the plastic off one of my stacks the other day. I needed a couple of the sheets of OSB from the top for another stack anyhow. Had to climb on top to recover. Cool view. I was in a pinch a couple Summers ago for storage. All oak stacked and still waiting. View South. BL rounds from recent score View East. My nine cord cribbed stack started a year ago. Most of the splitting and cutting happens in the "alley" here. This is the front area only. My area in back cannot be accessed with truck as yard is too muddy. I am able to stack and split back there. You guys with big open areas dont realize how lucky you are!
The only time you are not cutting/ splitting, and stacking wood is when you are taking pictures. And sleeping. You do that, right?
Most of it was a wooded area with no grass. Started out with six cord of mixed oak 2.5 years ago and has grown a bit. The cribbed stack was the only one on grass. He offers more room and i decline...at first!
In the back yard! Some is here at my place too. My original PA is going extinct as my landlords son doesnt want more wood brought in.
I think i already had unloaded! There are some splits in PU i was bringing to a friends to fill his shed.
I found a squirrels nest under the OSB, but looks like Rocky abandoned it some time ago. Posted pic in the recent "critters in stacks" thread. Find snake skins. Mice nesting too and cant remember the last time i found a mouse. I think snakes get em!
Ya know Brad, a D4 Cat dozer will make a big open area pretty fast.Seriously though, that hoard looks good! Glad you've at least got a spot to store wood.
lol, looks GOOD to me!! Its what ever you can figure out, nice thing, you've got a nice LOT of wood, lol I've got a similar situation, but, i work through it and if i'm happy, "I'm HAPPY'' lol.
