F27542D8-6AAA-41D0-9FDD-7F1C11B54F8C.jpeg I picked up an old upright freezer on the side of the road. The tag is broken off the front of the door and I'm not sure which brand it is. I'm guessing it's from the 70s or 80s. It has the coil shelves and it's very similar to a Gibson Commercial Uprights. The only tag on it says Warranty Central, Walnut St. Hudson, WI.
    Model 163V7

Any ideas? I tried google but no luck.

I'm hoping this things works. The coil shelf units are getting tough to find around here.

    Food for thought.

It uses R-12 for refrigerant. Good luck if you need any work/servicing on that. You could always have it retrofit-ed but at what cost point do you stop and realize getting a new freezer with a warranty is your better choice?

Something like that would probably have been better off leaving alongside the road! :handshake:

It’s a second deep freezer that’ll be used during hunting season. If it dies, it dies.

We have a newer chest freezer that’s packed w backyard chicken and a pig.

    Nice salvage/save BCB!
Use it it til it stops, then repurpose it into a kiln like Greg did!!!
