Thanks ww, Nail biting time. We both really like this place. Super quite area, Nice mostly level lot. Garage(play pen for me) is huge!! Needs a good clean and paint to get in. But looks solid besides the dated kitchen. Bath will need a revamp in time but is useable!!

Put in our offer Friday along with the deposit. Going to be a long couple a days until we get word.

Ive got to make another just so I can make the home made. The little place we used to get breakfast didn't make the pandemic so I can't get it any where else. Everyone else serves the canned stuff.

Pm the recipe if you don't mind sharing! :)

At least I now I can sup it up to make it taste decent. I'll be sure to cook a 5 pound next time. 3 was too little. It didn't even make enough for a samywich the next day! I love those too! :)

Probably wrong, but I thought you paid someone to remove that when you had the Explorer towed?

I've got a canvass garage too for the bike. It's 12X14 and has a pitched roof. I have to remember to go out when the snow is over 6 inches and push up on the roof from the inside. I learned the hard way the first year I had it. bent one of the rafter tubes. I welded a piece of angle iron to it and it's been fine but I do have to keep an eye on it. Oh, and don't open the front during a wind storm or at least one that is blowing towards the flap. Learned that lesson the first year too. Pulled the two front stakes right outta the ground and stood the shed on on the back wall!

I'm selling my motorhome this Spring and will use some of the proceeds to buy a bigger shed. Workshop and garage for the toys. I'll do a free to good home for the old canvas shed :)

I paid someone to lift the ridge enough to get the pole out of the windshield so I could back the Explorer out. The structure was frozen in and it wasn't going anywhere.

Well, in my case, I learned I had to keep the door flaps rolled up so the wind would go thru. Even with 6 cable anchors shot into the ground a couple of feet, that sucker got lifted over the rebar behind the frame, and moved the structure back 12-18" from the wind that is funneled down the street.

Things didn't go quite according to plan, but it is close.
    Meeting of the minds :D

It all went well until they were to the point of trying to move the iceberg. Most of that is from the December snow. It should melt quickly now that the afternoon sun can get to both it and the tarp surrounding it.
    8 - iceberg.jpg

The guy lives right down the street and goes by all the time, so when the ice is more manageable, he'll take the tarp - that thing is solid, even after all its gone thru there is only one tiny hole

I'll move those pellets into the house today. Was glad I had placed the pallet on top as that is the only thing that kept poles from going thru a layer or two.

I wish I had the space for one. I picked up my first bike this winter, just got it running. It currently lives under a tarp.

Going with a permanent structure that I'll be paying taxes on (tent garages aren't permanent so no taxes). Hoping the ground thaws early this year and they can pour the pad in a month or so, but I don't have a timeline yet.

    Good deal.

Even having to pay a bit of taxes (Sucks) can be better than having ma nature flatten your tent every year......

Our friend in town lost her tent garage twice this season...first time to the wind in September and the ice in February.....

Wind lifted it up and moved it to the neighbors back yard with small damage....easily repaired.

The ice flattened it and destroyed the frame and ripped the cover in several places.

You will like the permanent building a lot more..

Sleep well at night knowing your shed will be OK

    Yeah, they aren't cheap.

I was stirring a replacement around in my mind last fall, but thought the tent would be good for at least another winter. Also, need to replace my metal shed as I think there are 2 screws remaining and habit holding that thing together. Amazing how that cheap little HD thing, that has to be 20 years old and took a road trip as it was moved from my previous house (and used to be where the tent garage was) has managed to stay standing up. Anyway, the new structure will replace both of them.
