I want to upgrade my wood splitter with the addition of a log lift. The only hold back is which control valve to use as there is manly to choose from. My current splitter has one control valve configuration to operate the horizontal ram. To those who have built their own splitters, does anyone have a source of hydraulic schematic required to operate the ram and the log lift at the same time. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Try this place ... Surplus Center look at the valves you think may suit your set up . Call them ,and ask for their guidance on the subject . Also , be careful of cylinder size ( ret.length ,extended length , piston size . ) you may need a flow restrictor in the lift cylinder line .
