I bought this a few years ago

    Maasdam Rope Puller Kit

I got 150ft of rope. Then a 50ft rope. There are times 150ft is just too much to mess with.

No obvious damage to the rope. The kit works well.

While doing yard cleanup, I came across empty husks. Woodland critters enjoyed them.

    Spiny buggers

Hmmm.... I always thought it was a hickory tree. No showy flower blossoms like a chestnut.

I've found the actual hickory nuts, in the past. No shiny skin on it. Thus my understanding of it being a hickory.

Hickories and Pecans all have smooth green shells, whereas what you've got is something worth further investigation I believe.

It's possible that squirrels carried the husks from some distance away from the tree that they came from.

Well... I recall seeing leaves with jagged edges. Like a chestnut.

    Whatever it is. It's css'd.

I'll watch for the leaves on the remaining sprouts.

Wow! You didn’t mess around. Good feeling to see a tree through the entire process in such quick order:yes::saw::axe::stacker:

Only thing is the tree that came down was no dwarf...
