So I'm getting ready! Been hauling wood with the ATV and stacking it under the deck. I have this great ATV rack from harbor freight that I use to haul wood around my property. I've also been splitting kindling today. Threw the kindling into the ATV trailer to bring into the garage. We'll see how this storm goes:thumbs:

    Also been chugging Red Bulls:bug:

    Weeee!!

Except the March 2003 almost put our new business out of business and buildings in Fort Collins had roofs cave in .... 7 feet at our house then:jaw:.

Winter 1982 (3?) and October 1997 were awesome!! And yes, I cooked an awesome bean soup on the stove in 1993 on the wood stove on a 3 day power outage which was not uncommon back then, and did the same again every time we had the stove choochin' and the power out. Such good times and good memories!

Stay warm and have fun. Hope you have some decent clear trails or roads for sledding/lugging :)

Hang on out there. This could be a dandy or the forecasters could be all wrong too. It has happened too often when they forecast doom and gloom that the storm peters out.

    Good luck.

I would welcome a 5 foot storm, my snow machines are running well, Summit would be so much fun in 5 fresh feet. I am jealous, its snowing now and what your getting in feet were getting in inches. Its my Friday and coming into my 4 day RDO's I will be in the mountains. Enjoy whats coming.

Wow! Fourth day in a row today in the upper 60s in this area. Even the snow under the bushes has melted! A little rain coming in tonight. Stay safe!

    Good luck with that.

I am sick of snow and happy it has been getting warmer and snow going away.
If we got 5 feet of snow now I would have a rope around my neck ; I might even do that if we got 5 inches.

I love burning wood but nearing the end of the cold season it is starting to grow old and I have had about enough.

    Stay safe and good luck.

What do you think about that rack? I'm considering getting one for the front of my Gator to haul tools and still be able to use the dump bed. Good luck with the snow!

    5 feet? :hair:

I enjoy the snow. But with most of our snowpack about gone, I'm ok with it. I'm sure we'll get more snow, but it won't last long.

February 2013 we got 39" from storm "Nemo". Ms. buZZsaw and i were "trapped" in her apartment for four days. The landlord couldnt get his guy to plow. The driveway was a long uphill dogleg and on a cul-de-sac. I shoveled to our vehicles which took over two hours, and quit since there was nowhere to go.

What is an average snowstorm in your area? Stay safe and warm my friend.

I loved the 2003 storm. I was working in a little family owned meat market then. I had a Dodge Dakota with a 318 V8 and a 4 inch lift. That thing would go anywhere. I drove all over town picking up my fellow employees, and brought them all to work. About 10 minutes into the work day. The shop owner decided to close the store due to weather. Then I had to take everyone home:hair:

We do have some great hills around us. My wife and I take turns dropping each other off at the top of the neighborhood with the ATV, so the other can snowboard down the road back to the house. It’s about a 2.5 mile run!

Are you supposed to catch any of this storm up north?

Yeah. I’m actually kinda hoping that they are over shooting their forecast a bit. I’d be happy with 3 feet and done.

I like it. It holds a lot of wood. If I go uphill, I throw a strap or bungee around the cargo. The rack slides into my receiver hitch. It’s really handy. And much more maneuverable than my trailer for smaller loads.

PS - Last time I was “trapped” in the house with my wife - we had my son 9 months later:whistle:

I'm with buzz-saw and guessing Backwoods Savage too. You can keep the snow!! After working out in the warm weather yesterday, the smell of spring in the air, and hearing the song birds, I'm through with winter.
Good luck with the snow Cash Larue . I look forward to the pics.
