Long story short.. I drive a truck for a living pulling doubles - I meet a driver from Charlotte, NC everyday and today I pulled a wrong trailer. I've been doing this for 12 years and have never done that. You feel like a real moron doing that but as soon as I got home it was fine. My wife is now making smores over the firepit and a bad day is long gone!
Everybody has days like that. No biggie, call it a day a move on. Looks like a great night on tap at the firepit! Enjoy

Well yea, it was a bad day but you made it through it. It's in your past now. Besides I'm sure this wasn't the first time someone has done this, nor will it be the last time someone does it. We are human.... Keep your chin up.
I used to haul trailers loaded with bombs, missiles, etc. They have a pintle hook type hookup. Some nights I'd pull 10-15 sets of trailers (doubles). I go to unhook after pulling a set a good ways, and I had never closed the pintle, hooked the brake away cable or light cable. Dunno what the hell I had on my mind. Whoops.
We had a driver the other day stop, as he always does, at a hub to break his set. Some how he managed to take the wrong trailer on the wrong route. Caused him to miss every delivery on both trailers. He had done this route 100's of times before and is a great driver. Everyone has a "moment" sometimes.
For sure, most of us have done similar things. Now it is in the past so best to just let it be a lesson and that is all.
Fortunately I'm on vacation next week so instead of worrying about it I'm in a wedding and will also bring home a load of 4 year css wood from my father in law. The guy I meet was very understanding about it. I just need to make sure he doesn't get dinged for it too.
The funny part about my miss pull is it came out of Charlotte destined for Newburgh, Ny. It ended up back in Charlotte and the Charlotte I was supposed to pull came out of Newburgh. It even had the same placards and weight..lol..
