I’ve got one of those . Kinda disappointed in it .Can’t read the numbers on it as that Ratio Rite logo is Way too big . . .
So, it is a good thing to break in a saw by running it rich, at least for a while. What is the goal again? Longevity? Power?
Apparently I need to rethink running 50:1! Also thinking maybe it was a bad idea to break in my 462 last year on a 37” diameter Red Oak. It’s the only 462 I have ever run so tuff to make comparisons but makes me wonder. Hoping I didn’t rob any performance from my saw. Either way she has plenty of power for my needs and runs and starts great! World of difference from my ms250. Congrats on the new saw btw Joe. I know that saw will see some serious wood!
I run 32:1 in everything. My break in goes something like this, tune a bit rich and run it like I stole it. after a few tanks, tune it like it should be and run it like I stole it and the cops are on my 6.
