I'd like to come along. Have some good friends in that area and another one at the air force place. He is graduating in May but now the plan for graduation is only 2 people for each grad.

Bah! Dropped the FJ cruiser at Toyota on Saturday to inspect to see if they wanted to buy it. They do not.

Besides all the weird repairs it needs that I know about and told them like the door locks won't lock etc., after over $4K in the Toyota dealership shop and diagnosing fees, they guy said the catalytic converters are throwing an error. What?!? I brought it back several times for dash light errors that they "fixed" again, the errors kept reappearing, shop said it was electrical, relay stuff and cost a lot more in "diagnosing". They had that car for months and never diagnosed the cats during that time?

Idk, you all have seen it. Not a POS but not pristine by any measure. I'd like to use an auction with reserve for selling it, what site should I use? I sold my Dad's truck for him over a decade ago on Ebay so I'm familiar with listing on Ebay. Reserve $ ?

Edit, previous owner cut into the headliner and installed a home made wood box to hold a CB radio, that turned off the dealership. That and the cats.

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone!

Badger is doing great again today. Every day we have him here with us, as long as he is happy.

I had never had a backup camera in a vehicle until I bought the Explorer in spring 2018. Then I bought the car around Christmas that same year. I still use my mirrors and turn my head around to look out the back when I back up. I just can't get used to trying to use a camera. Additionally, the car's screen is only a 3x3" and I can't see it without putting on readers (and leaning forward), so it is useless. Plus, if I have been driving on salty/sandy/wet roads, the camera lens gets covered by cr*p and then is useless anyway.

The most useful thing to me, is the Explorer also has a "pinger" when I get close to an object (IDK, 5-7' maybe?). This is more helpful for me as I can judge when I'm far enough away that I can open the back gate - or if a child runs behind the vehicle there is instant reaction to the sound. And, the pinger works evern if the camera is covered with crud. I guess I just assumed the car would have the pinger, but that is not the case so backing up is totally by turning around.

Had to start a fire from scratch this morning. First time I have done this since November I think.

I can relate. Was hoping to get through winter without falling on the ice. Well, I didn't fall yesterday but slipped and did a nasty dance. Maybe would have been easier on the body if I had fallen but I was afraid of some things there I may have fell on. I stayed up but was about 10-15 feet away from where the dance started. Then could barely walk. I am going to see if I can bring some wood to the porch this afternoon just because rain is expected to move in tomorrow.

Thats exactly how I first hurt my back a few weeks ago. Just a real quick slip and catch though.
