How about yourself Joe? Did you hibernate or fly South for February?

Neither, been plowing snow or skiing up in Vermont. Have a cut a little here and there but not enough worth mentioning. Now that warmer drier weather is in the forecast, I should start to get at it again this week.

Hows the MUD factor down there? We had frozen ground for a while in January then snow cover and melt so i think a bad year forit up here. Not looking forward to it for sure.

If you haven't already tried the RA, I'll bet you like it. Very little stink so it's easy on the schnauz. I've pulled apart some of mine and it leaves a real nice film at 40. Leaves the combustion chamber and piston crown pretty decent (with a good tune) too. Only negative is mine is a little spendy, but considering the investments, it's worth it.

Thanks, brother. Working when I can, between my job and the weather...working from 48-84 hrs a week since early November. One day at a time. Glad you had a great year too.

Where are you getting your RA from?
I found a dealer about 40 miles from home...he quoted me $128/gal...:jaw::jaw::loco: ...so I did some figuring and looking on eBay. Found this deal, will make 48 gallons of 40:1 mix Echo 6550005 Red Armor Oil, 12.8 Fl. Oz.12 Pack | eBay

My local Echo dealer in Gettysburg. It was $20 for a 6 pack of the bottles that make 2 gallons at 40/1. Checking out your link now.

Home Depot sells echo saws and red armor. I recall seeing some bigger containers of it, but also have the 1-2.5gal mix packs
They actually have a decent selection of premix fuel in a can too.

It’s a little sloppy at the moment which might impact how much I get to use the tractor

We did a take down/clean up job on a day off. Nice pecan tree, got :emptywallet:and a trailer load of logs. Most are about 8-9' long. 0305211500_HDR.jpg 0305211501_HDR.jpg
Only kept 1 short trunk section, jas a few nails in it, the section above had plenty and multiple crotches. Take off the butt swell, it's still close to 30" dis. 0305211501a_HDR.jpg 10025.jpeg
No shortage on this limb. 10029.jpeg
Our neighbor, Mike, helped us on this job. 10033.jpeg 10031.jpeg

Good amount of wood in that one. Nice when you spot the nails rather than cutting into them.
With that many nails does a pecan tree turn into ironwood?

We had a bunch of cull logs from 6 trees we took down last summer. Had a some friends needing wood. Two came over on a Saturday morning, they did most of the work, I just ran the :saw:... 0306211055.jpg
    2nd load on Sat 0306211056.jpg
We had some cull logs left, so on Tuesday, my cousin came over. He is always helping others out, so we returned the favor. He got 2 loads that day, he is going to share with his Veteran neighbor. 0309211819.jpg 0309211819a.jpg
