Yep. When a Mastermind saw comes across the block and there are a half dozen respected members that are drooling over it? You buy it and ask later.. Congrats bro. That's a fine piece of equipment you have.
.... Ok... if you say so....... After you wave your magic fairy dust from the rainbow colored unicorn over them and send them back. They are quite the little beast... I'm planning on playing with it some more this weekend, but I really like how she runs. He sent me your note from the original owner, saying that you thought this was your strongest 562xp that you had done yet. I'm believer...
Nope most of them you send the whole saw to for porting. Terry Landrum has jugs that he will sell ported for saws already so that you can assemble and tune your own saws. Not sure if he sends a modded muffler of you need to do that yourself. Think with TL you needs to modd your own muffler if you buy the jug from him...could be wrong?
I feel the need to run every saw I do in wood. That's the only way I'm sure I did a good enough job on it.
I agree randy. I think anyone would understand. I bet you have a huge pile of sawdust around your place for mulch!! Or do you cut firewood with them? Must have a lot of huge test logs there!!!
Having enough test wood is always a problem. For now we are good. The land across the way was cleared, and the trees were just piled up. We go over there and cut 4' logs and bring them home. The back yard is always a mess........we burn cookies in a pit for the kids to make smores and hot dogs, but some times we have to make a bonfire......
Not for me...I am a forester overseeing timber harvest operations. I can bring as many jump butts or tops or just logging debris as I want
When I go sell a saw I even offer to bring a test log to make test cuts on. No one has taken me up on the offer yet??
Glad to see my old baby back running!!!! Definitely an awesome saw and leaves your grinning ear to ear!!!
It was actually this time last year and i was clearing a part of my property to build our new house... Which we hope to be moving into next month. Anyways, i had just pushed over a tree with the backhoe and the next step was to cut the stump off. When i made the cut underneath, the saw pinched. I then used the backhoe to lift the tree up, but in one quick motion the saw came un-pinched, saw fell to the ground, tree slid off the bucket and the tree landed on it. The saw stayed running the whole time and wasnt even buried into the ground. The handle bar got bent and the top cover was cracked. I took the saw into my workshop and straited the handlebar with the hopes of finishing my work. I went to cut up the same tree, made 3 cuts and then the chain stopped spinning. Being that i had many saws at the time, i was in no hurry to fix the old girl. What really sealed thats saws fait was when a co-worker sold me a minty 10mm 044 during the winter time.
I should add the the bar did not get bent either. I often wondered if the crank had a defect? Maybe not, idk. Where the the crank broke was right where the threads for the clutch ended.
