Well, I went ahead and got the Pro-Safety Full Wrap handle and 4 point felling dogs for the 461. I installed them this morning. It was easy to install, and I really like how it turned out. I like this particular full wrap handle a lot better then the curved back 3/4 handle Stihl offers for my other saws. One reason I bought the 461 is the availability of aftermarket stuff, like this full wrap handle. Now, I can use one position when felling a tree, on the face cut, where before being left handed, I would usually back bar cut because it was handier, sometimes, but now I don't have to with this saw. One down side, but I expected it, was that the longer wrench won't fit under the handle, to turn the bar nuts, but it's really no problem and my shorter one will fit just fine, anyway, and you could always use a socket and ratchet also. The positives far out weigh that small negative for me. Here's a few pictures. Might have to do this in a couple of posts.
Here's some more pics. You can see how a long wrench won't fit, but the shorter one works just fine. A few pics showing the different views with the bar on, all back together.
And one last view. You can't really do this with a half wrap. I don't even think I could personally do it with a the Stihl 3/4 wrap, either, but I sometimes find myself needing to cut in this position, but maybe not as high as I have it in the picture. Anyway, just excited to show if off, as I had been wanting a full wrap handle on one of my saws at least. I would love to have a lighter saw like a 261 with this handle bar on it, but they don't make them for that saw and the bolt up is different of course.
