Husk 268 special

What’s special about it?

 

Wasn’t it just an alternate designation to xp? Pre xp pro level? Just my poorly educated guess.

 

The special was a closed port cylinder as opposed to the regular being an open port design.

 

And that can make a big difference.

 

Closed port is a better performer. Here’s an idea if you aren’t sure the difference.

I checked my XP, 1989, no Special

I checked my 268, nothing there either

 

Is xp special an ultra rare limited edition saw? Maybe I’ll bump the bid up to $75.

 

Best I can find, the 268 became the “special “ (being closed port w/better performance) for a while, then they made it an XP. Both saws have the cp cylinder.
