Just got a “long ton” of my absolute FAVORITE Heartland pellets from my local Ace. I buy roughly 2 of these a year. I’ve posted a similar pic in the past. I wasn’t familiar with the term “long ton” before a fork lift operator mentioned it today. So this is 60 bags. 40 pounds each. *Plus a nice solid oak pallet! Paid $318.00. Roughly $5.30 a bag. Price has gone up a bit since last time. Still worth it.
We burn Heartland 95% of the time, 5-7 tons/year. They rock compared to other brands we've used. LOL "long ton"
Yep. I totally agree. I’ve burned approximately 10 different brands before I settled on Heartland pellets. I’ll never go back, as long as they are available. 5-7 tons a year? Holy smokes!
Yes, 5-7 , cold and windy here compared to Colorado, wow do I miss the weather there, you have no idea the difference of 100 miles or so . I miss the snow storms that dumped a foot or two that landed on the ground and trees, instead of most the snows here being so cold it comes down as powdered sugar blowing sideways into drifts leaving bare ground in foreground
We are really lucky to be here. We are supposed to get a good storm this afternoon too. The cost of living here is outrageous though. If my wife and I hadn’t bought our property when we did, we could never afford to live in this state. I have spent a fair amount of time in WY though. In fact, Jackson Hole is my absolute favorite place to snowboard.
I bet the same snow that falls at cashes blows around and ends up in Wyoming Was out there years ago, and amazed at all the wood "fencing " to try and help stop the drifting. And how they had the gates to close the highways during big blizzards.
Truth!! The snow fences do help with drifts, kiddo missed last Tuesday at school and my husband missed an appt this Monday due to the same, except they closed the highways, swung the gates shut on this Monday. Totally different world up here, I spent over 40 years with heavy snowfalls, here, not so much snow but the small amount that does fall just blows around and around and around again!
