New Wood Hauler?

I recently picked up this 2500 HD. It had an engine problem, some body rust, needed tires and the rusted out wheels replaced, etc. but I figured that, with a little work, this will make a great wood truck!

What is going on with the rear drivers side tire/wheel?

 

Well, THAT didn't go as planned! Still some work to go (replace rockers) but I seem to have taken a different direction.

 

Looks great! At first I thought the truck was still up on the lift.

 

The original steel wheels have a false chrome trim plate bonded to the outside to dress them up. Rust builds up behind the plate and pushes it off the wheel.

 

Truck looks great, like the wheels and tires!

 

Here's the final (for now) version. Turns out it's pretty dang good at haulin' wood!
