Trying to keep up. Another short truck load after work. 12 pieces of oak on average 19" long and 16" diameter. Calculator says about 160# each. I have 800# of steel under the wood. Someone else was cutting before I got the load. They are the proud owner of a new Stihl ms170/180 judging by the new manual I found by some sawdust.
Todays load, some rounds for a guy to deliver and some splits for an old veteran buddy. And got ahead on cutting for the next load.
To whom much is given, much is required, right? I say you only owed him that kind of load after his favor with your pickup!
Now that’s some mans work! And a good lookin classic wood hauled to get it home! I love it Youll have to let us know how much that tree ends up yielding
Thanks!! If I remember correctly, I got 18 loads off that tree. Of course that wasn’t stacked on the truck. I just split it and tossed it in the truck to get it home. I’m trying to find the pic, but it was actually three trees I had to get.
A friend down the street gave me all the wood. I worked a lot of weekends getting it done. But I got every last piece of all three trees.
Today’s haul. Hoping for the same tomorrow and Saturday. Almost all live oak, still have so many logs to cut.
Do these count as loaded truck pics? If the truck scale at my local transfer station is to be believed in this cold weather, I'm carrying around ~600 lbs of snow/slush/ice on the truck this week. And that's with kicking off the big chunks behind the tires daily.
It’s probably not far off, last week I was carrying over 2500# on my semi, today it was down to around 1500#, it should continue to drop with the daytime temps in the 40’s. The most I ever tacked on was around 3500#.
