They also come with the larger clutch cover and outer dawg. I never thought I needed one either until I used a friends 461 to fall Doug fir on steep ground. The face cuts are above your head so you can get a back cut that is out of the dirt. The extra options for hand position are very worth it. The added bonus is that they look cool too!
Ive seen videos pf extreme tree felling and it amazing some of the positions fellers have to get it just to cut down a tree. I dont fell too many trees so its something i dont need. Only once i can recall being in an awkward position and couldve used a wrap handle. I have the double dawgs on my 460. Aftermarket painted orange. Cool looking and very functional.
Someone just joined the XS500i club, brand new saw thanks to Dallas (for selling) and for sending it to huskihl for the Alaska special. My youngest enjoying the new addition, thinks it his new toy, I hope his enthusiasm continues through his lifetime
Hey Rope , awesome pictures! And its the perfect size for him. Make sure you put those aside for when he is older. This type of thing is really something to look back on as the years go by. Congrats and enjoy !!
You forgot to mention that you also got your mileage out of that chain. All hand filed? That's a lot of strokes!
awesome pic..of the little one and the saw. I wonder what saw technology will be like when he is old enough to use it?
It will be sooner than his momma is ready for. His 3older siblings all cut wood with me. When it’s his time, him too.
