These stacks will be outside until summer of 22 before I move it in to the wood shed for another 2+ years.
Ole what do you think of that rubber roofing as a wood cover? Do you think it helps dry the wood faster when the sun is beating down on it ?
I have used it for a couple of years, works good, but it does tear overtime. Not sure if it dries the wood any faster
I do think it dries much faster. It keeps snow and leaves out. When stacks get full of leaves it prevents good air movement. I did not use rubber roofing I repurposed an old conveyor belt from a gravel pit down the road from us. It will never wear out in my lifetime!
Ya I'm doing an experiment with rubber roofing.I put some over a cord of freshly split Oak last September to see if it dries the Oak faster.I top covered it and draped it down about half way on all sides. We'll see what happens by next September God willing.
The “closest to the back door rack,” from December. The Island got rain this last storm, and crazy high tides.
I'll be up in the Whites over the President's Day weekend. A cabin on the Kanc. Looking forward to being g off grid snowshoeing for a few days.
