Gee, thanks Loon. :headbang:It’s just starting to snow. Fortunately it’s also gotten a little warmer. These nor’easters are the worst in winter. Never get below a foot of snow.

Thankful here we don't have to shove around a bunch of snow.

Turned to rain around 3am and has been mixing back and forth ever since. Got the lots plowed and now home to rest for a bit. Supposed to change back to snow after lunch.

Finally had my eyes checked last week. One of my medicines has a small potential for retinal damage, so I'm supposed to go every six months. I did that for like 8 of the 12 years, but hit and miss since then and did not go to any doctor in 2020, especially the vision clinic where you have to put you face in machines others just used (they do 6 tests/6 machines). Anyway sure enough, damage in both eyes. So I have to find another medicine. I'll be grateful for new glasses though, just need to order them, I use the internet, it's hundreds of dollars less than optical shops. Kiddo gets new ones too, and strict orders she has to wear them all day. ALL day.

You use the good stuff. I don't even know where I could buy that around here. We can get Oak and Aspen or pine. Otherwise you have to go to a mill and work out a deal with them.

This stuff was about 5 minutes away from being firewood. They were some sawmill rejects that I pulled from the pile and finished milling. Made my fireplace out of it, and now bedroom furniture.

Well I’m in the thick of the storm now. The snow is coming down rapidly in typical New England Nor’easter fashion. So far just over 6” on the ground with several hours left before it wraps up. I cleared the driveway once so far with the snowblower. I made a path out to the chicken coop and found all 8 of them huddled together inside. Yesterday I had given them some leftover banana bread that apparently they enjoyed because today I got 7 eggs from them :) Typically I’m used to getting 3-4 a day during the winter.
