This CAD is bad enough. I dont want to catch PSD. I have my old 026 powerhead being worked on and was thinking of having that ported, keep in the PU. The problem with that is id be stopping even more to cut wood.
What percentage power gain would say by porting a saw?

So if what Jason says is true, that 026 could run like a 440? Heck wish id known of this a few years ago, id have just one saw...but there'd be no fun in that, would there?

    Well ported 56.5cc:

    Stock 70.7cc:

Timed, the smaller saw was just a tick behind. Both had fresh filed square chains.

I wouldn’t go so far as to say that . It’s still only a 50cc saw . So, you’re not gonna be able to hang a 24”bar and 3/8th chain on it .

Finally got to run the 7310 yestersday. :dex:Tossed on the 24" bar I ordered last week because I don't have any large logs to cut at the moment. Wanted to get a feel for the saw so I started out with 2 BL trees that were off the ground, waist high, about 12" -14" diameter. Moved on to a BL stump and dropped a black cherry tree that was broken in half. Zipped through all of that. Noodled a large crotchy and knotty coffee tree round that rejected my fiskars over and over. It was like a hot knife through butter!
Zero complaints! Easy to start and think it balances well with the 24" bar. Sounds awesome, IMO. Had to get use to the weight at first and adjusted my cutting stance.
Can't wait to try it out on some large stuff.

No action shots. As I was by myself.

That's how my dolkita 6421 sounds, even with the stock cat muffler on it. Stihls are very quiet in comparison.

I like that sound, but there's some that don't.

288's are known for an awesome idle. When cold my 94 reminds me of a dirt bike.
