More oak for the pile

    While hauling some stuff from my uncle's, the neighbor asked if we could drop a few oaks that were leaning over her property. She said she only wanted the small stuff and we would take the trunks and leave the tops . Uhh yea that's a no brainer :handshake:

    Winch em on and forklift em off. Sometimes I'll cut right on the trailer.

    Some might think that having access to & cutting dead Oak (About 70% Red/Black) every year for 30+ years would make me sick of it.

    Not in the least.:tree: :saw::axe: Though I am saddened by the loss that Oak Wilt,Gypsy moths & now Bur Oak Blight has caused to my state.Am just trying to keep it from spreading much as I can by removing the dead ones ASAP. So far where I cut acorn regeneration has helped with replacing what's gone & I always push quite a few in with the heels of my boots also.Though I obviously wont be around to see the results or harvest any of it.
