It should be called "Give myself a break" day. In our school system, teachers have access to discretionary days. I had a co-worker who thought sick days were for doing what you did not for being sick!!

Our day starts with a walk - today it was almost three hours. After breakfast, we went and whipper snipped some brush out on a trail and then Campinspecter cleaned the boiler. It has been a busy day but after lunch or our big meal of the day, I started scanning film negatives from loooong past picture taking and it got real quiet in the house. Guess what everyone else is doing while I am playing on the computer? (I am not going to be popular posting these!!)

    Here is Cricket.

Shadow has her spot which she ousted Rascal from.

But Rascal got the ultimate favorite spot today. It was his turn.

Meanwhile, I am knitting socks and waiting for the scanner to scan 8 picture negatives per turn.

By the way, anyone have any ideas on a good photo database program so I can store and search for pictures? I have been filing them in folders by year so far. (If I can remember the year) After working with library book databases, I would like someway of categorizing and retrieve photos the same way.

Ah, no jet lag today. I slept straight through the night and I feel like eating. Which is much different than how I felt yesterday.
