Had a small wood storage rack at my hunting cabin I made out of a piece of donated plywood and some odds and ends 2x4's and leftover shingles from a roofing job. It worked, but only held about 1/2 cord, and I burn more than that at camp in one year, so I had firewood stacked between trees everywhere. Decided to build a bigger one this spring. Prefabbed everything except the base platform at home, fortunately materials bought before lumber prices skyrocketed. Then youngest son and I put it up and under roof in one day. 1.5 cord capacity. When we did the job in September, my son asked if I'd have it filled by deer season. See third picture. Dead oak, but pretty wet, however have enough stacked between the trees around camp for next couple years, so should be good when needed. Photos of old one, new one, new one filled (almost). DSC06969.JPG DSC07213.JPG DSC07619.JPG
