My new neighbor just got a beautiful new Regency wood burning insert. I encouraged him to join the forum. It’s really fun to have him next door. There aren’t that many of us wood burners here in Central IL. I’ll send pics when I get them. Chief

I’ve got the same one, in the 2008 model.
    Hope your neighbor enjoys it.
We have for about 50 cord now!

He will be glad to hear that. He is really “attention to detail” type guy. I have the Regency Hampton 200 and put him on the guy I bought it from. I told him there are lots of choices out there and now days, most of them are good. But since I know Regency first hand I recommend it. He is absolutely giddy over this wood burner. He just stares at it burning. Then he says the glass is getting dirty. I said Ryan, chill out. It’s burning wood .

Is he a firewood hoarder yet or a buy your firewood guy? I would just sneak over to your backyard at night. ;)

Yeah, he snuck over a few times. Lol. He is buying right now but just got anew log splitter and chain saw. Going to start cutting. He’s like everyone right now. Behind the 8 ball for good firewood. But I’ll get him straightened out.

519471B0-4A40-4C49-8A97-EC03A1EEA3E5.jpeg Ok, here he is. He’s young and has a strong back. Which will be good news for this old worn out Chief. He has already helped me immensely.

It’s good he had a knowledgeable neighbor, who can advise on what seasoned wood is, and all the rest that goes with wood burning.

so much trial and error avoided

Welcome neighbor. You’ll have lots of fun here. All these guys and gals on here are wonderful people. You won’t realize how wonderful until you are on here for a while. But trust me, they’ll do anything for you.

Yes and we even have some special gatherings from time to time. Steve can clue you in some on that because he has been to 32 at our humble place. If all goes right next spring we'll have another one around May 1.
