What case for larger saws?

    it pretty much is, I own both. I'd buy another of the black cases. scabbards don't fit long bars as mentioned.
    I just jam a spare one onto the front half the bar so the nose is at least protected.

    I haven’t looked for them lately, but Stihl has offered Scabbard Extensions, about 10” Long IIRC, they can be used In multiples and snap together, and I believe that they snap into the Stihl Scabbards

    I keep my 590s in these chainsaw bags. For the longer bars Echo sells a longer scabbard at many home depot stores.
    My 590 didn't fit in the powerbox

    My MS462 fits (barely) into the stock Stihl woodsman case. You have to release the chain brake and properly orient the t grip on the pull start to get it to close properly. I also keep a wedge or two stowed away in the case so they are handy when I break out the saw.
