Nice load. Having never processed pecan, how does it smell? Like hickory? How does it split?

Has a very good smell. Kinda like hickory with its own notes. When it’s green is splits like crap. Really stringy almost like elm. When it’s dry it splits very nice like oak or ash.

Burns well. Not quite as hot as oak or ash but still very nice.

Noodles are the slang term for the "chips" that a saw makes when you rip a round. Basically laying it on bark edge and cutting rather than cross cutting it. Commonly used on huge rounds or gnarly rounds that are tough to split.

Yes sir! Had a bunch of huge ash and red oak rounds that were way to big to handle.

That is a solo stove, I have had it a few years now so it’s got a nice patina. Works well
