The first pic i almost thought B Locust but then the trunk pics made me think maple. It just has alot of black in the bark. I was there for the Ash today, ill cut that green stuff another day
Without looking at other responses it looks like sugar maple to me. First couple pics that is. EDIT: just realized the first two pics are the same!
Sure looks like maple to me. What kind, probably red or sugar. If you look West at the top left it looks like there's a nice ash log too. It's all great firewood though!
I want to say Sugar maple like others but a few pieces look like Polpar. Have you cut any yet, is it soft?
Oh yea they are old and theres a big old foundation rt there where im cutting, ill take a pic today, its pretty awesome
I havnt gotten into all of it i was just digging out the ash for a customer that just got royally screwed with “seasoned “ wood. I brought him some of my dead standing ash and oak and he said he’ll be getting wood from me for the rest of his life
