    • We haven’t had any snow to speak of. It snowed hard on Halloween night but not much since.

Bust em in half. That dead stuff should pop pretty quick unless you hit a knot. You'll run into some of the punky brown wood right below where there was a limb that broke off. Usually isn't to bad but sometimes 2 or 3 cuts below the limb hole . Most of that dead stuff should be ready to burn next year.

mine were the same more or less. When i bucked the 4' sections the bark came off in sheets. Its amazing what percentage the bark is on a locust round vs. other species. Of course we've been cutting dead/fallen stuff. Have you ever cut any green with bark on?

No, all that I’ve cut is dead stuff. What little bit that had bark on it is falling off as I split it. Should make for some clean wood. If I can continue to cut in the locust grove I don’t think I’ll ever have to cut a live one.

097A8D9C-192D-4BAD-9531-1CF3132E8D18.jpeg I got back into the locust grove this morning. There is so much down wood to get. To bad it’s so hard to get to. But that’s probably why there’s so much

Looks like easier Pickens now. Just start at one edge and keep working inwards. Wish I had me a locust patch like that.
Did you upgrade the tires on your trailer or stock?

Lol. It’s a handy trailer. I redid the tongue years ago so it would extend. When we bought this place I only had a goat path to the river. I made the tongue so it would extend 5’. That allowed me to put a canoe or kayak on it. My only complaint is it’s a little top heavy heaped with BL!

Neat pictures. I like using the quads and getting into places only something small like that can access.

Looks good, is it wet down in there, is that why you use the ATV?
