This morning I watched the sun come up (Yes, finally, no clouds! The sun, first time I've seen it in weeks it seems.). It was 24 and the ground had frozen so I cut up a few ash trees that had fallen into the fields I hunt. Sure is nice to be able to drive right up to them. I hauled the logs home and got them all split, about a full truck load. Not a bad morning's work.

Looks like somebody’s been busy judging by that stack along the fence line.

That more than enough of a workout for this old fart.

Few things this side of Heaven beat a good chunk of work done at sunrise before breakfast! Although sailing (Hobie 16) or kayaking and watching the sun come up over the ocean are tightly grouped at the top.

I bet the fragrance of pine is pretty good there!

Mornings, right around sun-up, is the best part of the day, IMO.
