I'm told it's way easier to throw the assembly manual out and watch a video on YouTube to set it up.

 

That’s awesome advice! I went with the manual, it took me hours.

 

I have a Grizzly Band saw as well and I love it. I can use mine for metal or wood.

 

I'll probably get my Laguna bandsaw in a week or two. Looks like 10% off is all they're doing this year on black Friday,( i think it might come with the rolling stand though. Not sure)

FINALLY!!!

Last day of the black Friday sale at Woodcraft... looks like 10% off is all they'll do on the 14bx 220v. (This is the first time I've seen any discount on the BX model)

On line sale says $99 shipping so i called the store and payed them and it will ship toll free to the store and I'll pick it up there...will include a "free" blade.

Only thing is...Laguna is backordered till late January. But I've been waiting almost a year, so another 2 months is no big deal.

seal them and maybe they won't split on you. very common to have happen as they dry out.

 

I made an Adirondack chair. The new bandsaw is awesome.

Can someone explain the point of a bandsaw? When I look at an Adirondack chair, I think I could make most cuts with a chop saw, table saw or jig saw. But, it seems like the band saw would have smoother corners than a jig saw, is that it? Better control for following curved patterns?
