I honestly didnt get the connection until after several replies. It was not one of my play on words threads. I know metalcuttr wont believe it though!
Not sure about the play on words but it is always encouraging to be mentioned in a thread about how the dump smells!
Bucked to length most of the logs today and experimented with slicing cookies off. Roughly 2" thick. I liked this one the best. I saved the nicer logs for future cookies. Not sure what ill do with these. Anyone got an idea of value?
Uniquely shaped. It’s a shame the color turns on them tho. They’d be in much larger demand if it didn’t. My house was once those colors ya know. Hard to tell now LOL Built a two sink vanity in the master bath out of eastern aromatic. It went through the change. $10 on Facebook if you want them to go fast. Not the right season tho. They’re a big hit for weddings and it’s not quite wedding season right now.
Do customers want cookies that thick? Seems for wedding tables and such, they would want them thin. You could earn more. IF you could cut them now that they are cut. But I don't know anything about this lol.
Not sure of thickness, never really sold any. Made some 10" diameter oak cookies for my stepdaughters wedding a couple years ago. These were just some ends i practiced on when i bucked them to length.
Those look cool. I sold some ash cookies a couple years ago on CL, cut maybe 1" thick. I sold 20ish for $50 but they were in the 6-8" range. Everyone said that was way too cheap, I said I didn't care because it's free wood and pretty dang easy to cut. I did let the ad expire though and never renewed it.
