Those hollow rounds should split nicely. Still lots of splits in them.

Man that old timer certainly had some history to it. Love that old saw too. Can't beat the classics.

If you've got any longer pieces left from that tree, you could keep it in the family for another couple generations...

Well a little delay in the action for a few reasons. Work, weather, wagon rebuild and oh did I mention the splitter mishap? BCFB1AD7-B367-47D2-B39D-87C7CEE4683D.jpeg Anyway.....
Back at it today. Stacked a face cord worth into my stacks storage. Took the wagon out and dropped it off by the log pile. Then took the splitting rig out to do a little fishing. EB459F50-0CFB-4863-9B69-F8B1CF4CF548.jpeg Ive got an electric winch on the top of the beam so when I go vertical I can reel in the big ones. Sure saves a lot of messing around. I had my hook tender helping out and we got most of the bigger stuff quartered up. After that I went horizontal and split a wagon load, probly half a cord? Maybe more tomorrow haven’t decided yet either splitting or trout fishing..... 59E8FF53-804B-4531-9A56-56B4C02E02EA.jpeg 02708F1A-C483-45E2-B56F-0C5481355300.jpeg
