Wow no property taxes! Assuming they have utilities.. Wonder if the fishing is good there...

Oh yes. Saltwater fishing should be decent, the island is towards the north end of the same bay I live on the south end of. Lots of freshwater ponds and stuff on the island too.

Very interesting! Hurricanes could be a concern though.. Really like the location! I know nothing about the area.. Is there stores etc. there within a reasonable distance?

Only about 20 mins to a town of about 6,000 with all your usual amenities, right off the bridge to the mainland.

Hopefully you didn't get stuck too badly. What did it take to get out?

The upstairs hallway got painted yesterday. Ladder and plank for the high cutting in. Not much purple left from the prior owner.

I split the spruce pile and stored in the barn. The cherry and maple is split to, but I will move to the racks another day. Probably a half cord between both piles.

Worked a few hours in the attic and took a chill. I ended up making a shredded chicken stew out of leftovers. Maybe I'll do some work on the kitchen table. It is more planning and looking for old lumber than actual building.

I mixed up a batch of my bloody Mary mix this am.

It's so easy when I make up a batch this way. I mix it in the big screw top veg cocktail containers. Pour out a pint glass of the store bought vegetable cocktail into a glass, then add all the good stuff to the top( pickle juice, Worcestershire sauce, Sriracha, my spice mix, and a little banana pepper or pepperoncini juice if you have it) , and shake it up. I break out a shot glass to verify that it's got the right amount of everything, then it's all ready for virgin or bloody Mary's.

This morning was running a couple errands and getting small task around the house done. Scraping down the drive between the house and barn and then applying some rock salt on the ice. And moving more of that Pine this afternoon. 22701A3B-0E21-43C0-9FDB-1F451856E8FC.jpeg

Taking my time, push theses in line with each other and just trap these bigger rounds between bucket and logs and never get off the tractor.

I like horseradish, but I don't add that to mine.

I’ll also throw a couple cocktail shrimp in if I’m feeling frisky.

After I got the tractor I ordered up and had my neighbor install the usual grab hooks. Gotta have em.

Not my cup of tea, but this is a local place to me.

If you don't need to feed the family,. They have smaller less crazy versions.
