Thankfully no, she and her husband were gonna stack it in their shed. That rack you liked the contrast on, was theirs last year. A full 1.25 cord, we dumped it in the yard and she stacked the whole load by herself. I asked her if she got warm twice that time....
I finished this row the other day, just didn't get a picture of it I think it was 4 rounds that I got split before the rain started. Supposed to have bad weather today, that's why I didn't have the canopy up. Got the splits stacked on another row. These are the bucked rounds left at the splitter These logs plus 1 more trailer to sort out and buck is left of the last hickory we got. There are a few oak logs in this load with the hickory I wish I could get this cherry from my sister and send a certain chunk to TurboDiesel and justdraftn ... Wonder what they could do with it...
Hauled a little wood down to the house for our stove yesterday morning before the rain. Cull oak and hickory
It isn't so...... The small pile of logs and this trailer load here, which has several oak logs in, is all we have.......at home. There is plenty left in the honey hole, still on the stump, waiting for us to cut, plus a few oaks. Just trying to get it in the shed before I go get more, hickory doesn't seem to last in the weather as good as oak. Don't have time to get anymore right now. Working 7/12's a week, another operator got sick...
Man I feel for you... Hopefully you'll get your crew back sometime in the near future... so you can get some relief....
Yes, might as well leave them standing, I see your point. You are almost the last man standing at work. Can they not shut down for a shift every day, or is it too complicated to shut down/start up? Maybe a good time for maintenance or something?
After the rain stopped me the other morning, I worked in the shed. I got the air hose reel I got for Christmas mounted on the wall and hooked up I came in New Year Day from work, wasn't raining, so I split and stacked a few hrs before the football games came on. Supposed to be off this weekend, but got called back in. Worked a couple hrs Sat morning, finished up all the rounds we had bucked. Had enough to finish that row and start on the last row. The view from the top of the ladder.
Thanks, brother. We had a former operator get some training on our equipment, he got the 'rona first. Maybe he will be back soon, but the company really needs him to run his auto bagger, we are slammed with orders right now.
No ma'am, it's pretty complicated to shut down 2 of the furnaces I run, heat has to be brought up and taken down slowly. Someone has to be there, like being in the medical field, without the ... Plus another unit like those I run in another part of the plant had a major break down. Probably be a month or more before it's repaired. And we will probably have to pick up some of its production. There is 1 more regular operator with me. The sick guy should be back about the 15th. The operator that fell, it will be late spring or summer before he's back.
.....ya' think? I never took any of those business classes. ...but, I just sold this one. Ships tomorrow. Purple heart wood w/bark pocket hickory.
If it's not too much trouble, could you take a picture of one in use? Do you hold it between your knees?
