Ever use a cheap one where you are tightening down on something when the handles slip and pinches your fingers between them, thats when you tell yourself should've bought channel locks!!

Since 1923, the Estwing family and its employees have taken pride in designing and manufacturing the world's most durable, comfortable and attractive striking and struck tools. Their manufacturing facility is located in the northern Illinois city of Rockford - about 90 miles northwest of Chicago.

Unfortunately there's components that are from overseas, that go into American made items, and they are on containers.

It’s definitely an eye opener seeing dozens of humongous container ships anchored off California, Georgia and New York. In my line of business I see firsthand how utterly dependent we as a country are on the global supply chain. Concerning jet engines, certain components come in from Poland, Germany, Japan, United Kingdom, etc. At one point about 15+ years ago we had sent a bunch of tooling to Turkey and gave them the green light to make a family of engine parts... that foreign relationship had since soured and they refuse to give our tooling back, which is now in the hands of less than reputable people. This is the dark side of international relationships. I don’t know what the solution is. It would be nice to make everything here again but I think those days are gone for good. The best we can probably do is always have a contingency plan, so we’re never backed into a corner utterly dependent on one or more countries.

    Absolutely.

Being in the Supply Chain myself, I've seen it far too many times not having secondary suppliers, and then some sort of disaster happens and everyone's SOL.

I'd like to think that this is an eye opener and things start changing, manufacturing comes back to America...
But i don't think it will in this political climate.... and when our pres. is in bed with chyna...
